Job summary

Mercor is seeking a senior Litigation Expert for a remote contract role. You will develop complex litigation scenarios across pre-trial discovery, motion practice, trial strategy, and settlement or arbitration.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience at a top firm or corporate legal department, with direct ownership of complex commercial matters, familiarity with FRCP and evidentiary rules, and strong drafting and rubric-authoring skills. Experience with Relativity or Everlaw is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working as a litigator or trial attorney at a major firm or corporate department.
• Direct ownership of complex commercial litigation matters, with trial/arbitration experience.
• Fluency in litigation tooling and procedural rules (discovery, evidentiary rules, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Construct litigation scenarios across discovery, motion practice, trial strategy, and settlement/arbitration.
• Build tasks across commercial, complex, and class action litigation and discovery management.
• Develop scenarios involving e-discovery platforms (Relativity, Everlaw) and trial preparation tools.
• Apply litigation methodologies to FRCP, Federal/Evidentiary rules, international rules where applicable.
• Author rubrics distinguishing authentic litigation judgment from generic recall.
