Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with AI research labs. We are seeking a Litigation Expert for a remote contract role, paying $90–$100/hour. Ideal candidates have 5+ years as a litigator, ownership of complex commercial matters, and strong experience with FRCP/Evidence rules.

You'll work on pre-trial discovery, motions, trial strategy, and arbitration, using Relativity and Everlaw. JD with bar admission or international equivalent is preferred; prior authorship is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a litigator or trial attorney at a top firm or corporate dept.
• Direct ownership of complex commercial matters with trial/arbitration experience.
• Fluency with litigation tooling and understanding court procedure, discovery, and evidence rules.
• JD with bar admission; international equivalents (Barrister/Solicitor) with advocacy rights preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop litigation scenarios across discovery, motions, trial strategy, and settlements.
• Manage complex commercial, class action, discovery, and appellate matters.
• Create scenarios using e-discovery tools like Relativity and Everlaw.
• Apply FRCP/Evidence Rules and CPR/international rules to draft pleadings and memos.
• Write rubrics to distinguish authentic litigation judgment from generic recall.
