Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of California civil litigation paralegal experience.
• Strong experience with California discovery is a top priority.
• Experience supporting personal injury litigation.
• Knowledge of California civil procedure and court rules.
• Excellent legal drafting and document preparation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide litigation support to attorneys defending insured clients in California civil litigation matters
• Review legal files and case documents
• Draft and prepare: Discovery requests and responses, Motions and pleadings, Trial documents, Jury instructions, Other litigation-related filings
• Calculate and monitor California statutory and court deadlines
• Conduct legal research using Lexis and other electronic legal research tools
• Interview insured clients for discovery and case preparation
• Coordinate with retained experts for trial, mediation, and arbitration preparation
• Organize evidence and maintain litigation files
• Handle confidential legal information with professionalism and discretion
