Job summary

TopDog Law is seeking a detail-oriented junior to mid-level attorney for a fully remote role in the legal and compliance department. The position focuses on litigation ethics compliance, including client intake, conflicts of interest, and compliance across phases of cases.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of litigation experience and 2+ years in ethics compliance, with a JD from an accredited law school and an active license in a major US state.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active license to practice in a major US state
• 4+ years of litigation experience at a prominent law firm
• 2+ years of experience in ethics compliance relating to litigation
• Must be highly organized with great attention to detail
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Remote work capable in a fully remote environment
• Self-starter with ability to work across firm stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Conduct research, writing, and investigations into legal and ethical compliance issues with the General Counsel
• Draft firm SOPs for ethics compliance across all litigation phases in multiple states
• Draft and revise firm form agreements and client communications
• Evaluate conflicts of interest and draft waivers
• Assist in implementing and updating internal compliance policies and protocols
• Audit case handling and provide high-level oversight for ethics compliance across the firm
• Track key case metrics and escalation issues for supervising attorneys and management
