Scale LLP, a modern, fully distributed law firm, seeks a midlevel attorney for its growing litigation practice. The role offers autonomy to shape and grow a practice and manage direct client relationships without traditional Big Law overhead.

Ideal for an experienced California litigator with strong pre-trial and law-and-motion experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage significant aspects of litigation alongside a seasoned partner.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice in California.
• Strong legal writing skills and experience drafting dispositive motions and other pre-trial filings.
• Ability to independently manage significant portions of a case and handle routine client inquiries.
• Sound judgment with proactive issue identification and solutions.
• Produce thoughtful, concise, high-quality work with strong attention to detail.
• Highly responsive, organized, and able to manage multiple active matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication with clients and colleagues, providing timely updates and practical recommendations.
• Experience with catastrophic injury, premises liability, or employment defense is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Manage day-to-day case responsibilities and independently handle significant portions of litigation.
• Collaborate closely with the Partner on sophisticated matters, including catastrophic injury, liability disputes, and employment defense for major clients.
• Provide proactive client updates and practical recommendations while maintaining high professional standards.
