Job summary

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a Litigation Attorney to evaluate and improve AI-generated legal content. You will use your litigation experience to assess accuracy, logic, and professionalism in model outputs and to draft stronger legal language for training purposes.

Responsibilities include evaluating briefs, rating quality, and drafting edited drafts to teach models better litigation reasoning. This is a remote, contractor, part-time role requiring 20+ hours/week and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have JD from ABA-accredited U.S. law school.
• Active bar license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3–15 years of post-JD legal experience; preference for trial, appellate, or litigation specialists.
• Proven legal writing ability and capacity to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
• Ability to evaluate and improve AI-generated legal content; prior AI experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated briefs, memos, arguments, and explanations for legal and factual accuracy.
• Rate outputs for analytical rigor, clarity, relevance, and adherence to standards.
• Identify errors, logical gaps, and incorrect citations; provide detailed feedback and corrective suggestions.
• Draft or edit model-response examples to illustrate improved legal reasoning or argument structure.
• Resolve edge cases using professional judgment to guide model calibration.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a cross-functional project team and incorporate iterative feedback.
