Job summary

thefirmconsult partners with a U.S.-based law firm to hire an experienced Litigation Assistant for a fully remote, long‑term role. This position is open to international candidates with prior litigation support experience.

You will assist attorneys with day-to-day management of personal injury cases, draft pleadings and motions, file documents, maintain electronic files, track deadlines, and coordinate with clients and experts. Strong English and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Litigation Assistant, Legal Assistant, or Paralegal.
• Experience supporting litigation matters for a U.S. law firm.
• Strong command of English and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with day-to-day management of personal injury litigation cases.
• Draft, prepare, and format pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• File legal documents with state and federal courts, including electronic filing where applicable.
• Maintain and organize electronic case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up to date.
• Monitor court deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other important litigation dates.
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, medical providers, experts, and other third parties.
• Assist with all phases of discovery, including preparing responses, organizing records, and managing document production.
• Prepare case summaries, chronologies, trial binders, and other litigation support materials.
• Conduct legal and factual research as directed by attorneys.
• Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys and the legal team.
