Jacoby & Meyers Accident & Injury Lawyers is seeking a litigation assistant to support attorneys in California-based cases. The role emphasizes collaboration, document management, and deadline tracking in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers full-time remote work with occasional in-person attendance. Strong organization, communication, and multitasking are essential for success in this role.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Prior paralegal certification is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with the assigned team during weekly and monthly team meetings and case audits/reviews.
• Maintain and update firm database using firm software.
• Process incoming mails, faxes, and email attachments.
• Organize and save documents to the client file following firm procedures.
• Track due dates, appearances, and deadlines including court dates.
• Coordinate with opposing counsel for depositions and hearings.
• Schedule remote appearances and calendar hearings for attorneys.
• Maintain team calendar and monitor docket information.
• Research active litigation for background support.
• Draft legal documents and court forms for filing.
• Request services from vendors as needed.
• Track service of process for all defendants in active cases.
• Maintain proofs of service and discovery responses.
• Communicate with clients for updates and coordination.
• Assist with deposition and discovery completion.
