Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a remote EST contract in the life sciences sector. The role centers on gathering requirements, conducting gap analyses, and translating complex scientific workflows into clear business, functional and technical specifications for IT and data teams.

The candidate will use Jira to manage requirements, create user stories and BRDs, and support preclinical data initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• Experience gathering requirements, gap analysis, process mapping, and documentation.
• Experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Drug Discovery, or Research organizations.
• Strong understanding of chemistry concepts and collaboration with medicinal chemists/therapeutic discovery teams.
• Experience supporting preclinical research environments and scientific data initiatives.
• Understanding of In Vitro Research Data, Animal Study Data, PK/PD data, safety and toxicology data.
• Hands-on Jira for requirements management, backlog management and workflow tracking.
• Strong stakeholder management across scientific, business and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate requirements workshops with scientists, chemists and stakeholders.
• Translate scientific workflows into clear business, functional and technical requirements.
• Create and maintain BRDs, user stories and project documentation.
• Utilize Jira to manage requirements and Agile delivery.
• Support preclinical research data initiatives (in vitro, animal study, PK/PD, toxicology).
• Partner with IT, data and business teams for adoption of solutions.
• Manage stakeholder communications across cross-functional teams.
