Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Life Actuary to join our team in a fully remote role based in the United States. You will support actuarial work informing pricing, valuation, and risk management decisions across the business, applying advanced modeling to generate insights and improve model performance.

The position partners with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate regulations, develop reports, and present findings to leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years) in lieu of degree.
• 4 years of relevant actuarial or analytical experience with FSA; or 8 years with ASA.
• Experience with actuarial modeling software for pricing, valuation, and risk management.
• Ability to communicate complex actuarial analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• 5+ years of Moody's AXIS experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex actuarial modeling for pricing, valuation, and risk management.
• Review laws and regulations for compliance and recommend improvements.
• Run models, generate reports, and present detailed analyses to leadership.
• Make recommendations for model adjustments and improvements.
• Lead or participate in moderately complex projects across actuarial areas.
• Develop exhibits and reports to clarify proposals and findings for stakeholders.
• Identify and recommend solutions to business problems independently.
