Job summary

The Jacobson Group is seeking a remote Life Actuarial Consultant (Pricing) to support pricing, product development, valuation, and financial reporting on a 6- to 12-month project. The role requires SOA credentials or extensive ASA experience, with strong Excel skills and reinsurance pricing exposure.

Ideal candidates will price Medicare supplement, universal life, and annuities, develop pricing models, and prepare actuarial memoranda for regulatory submissions, while maintaining actuarial models

Qualifications

• Fellow of the SOA or experienced ASA required.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience pricing Medicare supplement products.
• Experience pricing universal life products.
• Experience pricing annuities.
• Experience with reinsurance pricing.
• Exposure to writing experience studies.
• Prophet modelling software experience preferred.
• Remote availability for a full-time consulting position (40 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Support pricing for Medicare supplement, universal life and annuities.
• Develop pricing strategies and actuarial analyses for products.
• Prepare actuarial memoranda and support state filings.
• Lead or support pricing studies and model development.
• Prepare periodic financial reports, reserves and related actuarial materials.
• Assist with reinsurance treaty analysis and pricing.
• Automate actuarial processes to improve efficiency.
