Job summary

Headspace is seeking a part-time, independently licensed therapist to provide secure, HIPAA-compliant tele-therapy across the United States. This 1099 contract role requires 10+ hours weekly with flexible scheduling, and pays per 60‑minute intake or 45‑minute follow-up session in DC, with rate ranges of $80 to $85 per session.

Responsibilities include documenting notes within 48 hours, maintaining licensure records, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care

Qualifications

• 3+ years of clinical psychotherapy experience with individuals, couples or families.
• Independent license in good standing (Master or Doctoral BC-TMH if required by state).
• Ability to offer at least 10 sessions per week with flexible scheduling.
• Competence in evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness) and measurement-based care.
• Experience with risk management and higher acuity cases.
• Knowledge and commitment to culturally responsive care.
• Familiarity with care delivery technology (Zoom, EMR, Google apps).
• Safe, secure location with reliable internet for Zoom-based therapy.
• Effective communication and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality tele-therapy to Headspace patients via HIPAA-compliant video.
• Complete, sign and lock clinical notes within 48 hours of session.
• Maintain licensure database with updates and expiration dates.
• Keep availability calendar up to date.
• Collaborate with health coaches, therapists, psychiatrists, and external care providers.
