Job summary

The Lifetime Psychotherapy Center in Brookhaven, NY is seeking a licensed mental health therapist (LMFT/LMHC/LCSW/LCSW-R) for a full-time remote position. You will assess, plan, and provide culturally sensitive, evidence-based therapy to a diverse client base in a community health clinic setting.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain compliant EHR records, and participate in ongoing cultural competency training while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and culturally competent therapy.
• Experience delivering individual and group therapy with cultural responsiveness.
• Crisis intervention skills and ability to de-escalate in emergencies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and related software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions using diverse modalities.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support during emergencies.
• Educate patients and families about mental health options and community resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential EHRs in compliance with ethical standards.
• Participate in case conferences and ongoing cultural competency training.
• Engage in continuous learning and integration of current research into practice.

Education
