Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy plans for clients.


• Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, tailored to meet the needs of diverse clients.


• Facilitate therapeutic sessions for groups, families, couples, and individuals, ensuring a respectful and safe environment for open communication.


• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that client safety and privacy are prioritized.


• Engage actively in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and training sessions to stay current with the latest mental health research and practices.


• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing insights and strategies to cohesively enhance client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position emphasizes serving individuals and families with limited access to mental health services. You will work closely with clients dealing with diverse mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. Your role in this setting is to empower clients to develop coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and foster resilience—ultimately enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.


• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.


• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience is required, preferably in a clinical setting.


• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards governing counseling practices.


• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
