Job summary

Trellis, the tech-powered insurance company behind Savvy, is hiring a Licensed P&C Insurance Service Advisor. This remote role reports to the Customer Service Manager and blends empathy with sales acumen to build lifelong customer relationships.

Youll handle renewals, coverage changes, cross-sells, and policy rewrites across major carriers, collaborating with Sales, Training, and Operations to ensure accurate, compliant decisions and a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of personal lines insurance experience in service, retention or sales support.
• Active Property & Casualty or Personal Lines license in at least 10 states.
• Retention-focused mindset with success preventing cancellations and cross-selling.
• Excellent communicator, able to explain insurance concepts clearly.
• Tech-forward: proficient with multiple carrier systems and CRMs; data-informed.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, with ability to work with limited oversight.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to policyholders via phone, email, and SMS, ensuring prompt and personable support.
• Retain and grow customers by managing renewals, identifying at-risk accounts, and presenting competitive solutions.
• Drive revenue through consultative selling, quoting and binding additional coverages or improved renewals.
• Interpret and analyze policies, endorsements, and reports to make informed, compliant decisions.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Training, and Operations for smooth handoffs.
• Master CRM tools, comparative raters, and carrier portals for major insurers.
• Champion efficiency by leveraging automation and data to improve workflows.
