Job summary

Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Centers in Kerr County, TX is hiring a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) to provide services for individuals with co-occurring disorders. The LCDC assesses needs and develops person-centered recovery plans within a licensed facility.

You will conduct screenings, create treatment plans, refer to Recovery Support Services, work with peers, and help clients progress toward recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social, behavioral, or human services.
• Texas LCDC license or eligible within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health and substance abuse field.
• Valid Texas driver's license and auto insurance.
• Must obtain PMAB, First Aid and CPR within 3 months of employment and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Ensure admissions are appropriate with written justification.
• Develop person-centered recovery plans based on assessments.
• Refer clients to Recovery Support Services as needed.
• Complete screenings, assessments, and treatment planning.
• Engage clients in ongoing treatment and utilize peers for support.
• Maintain timely, organized documentation and communication.
