Job summary

Kerr County MH Center is seeking a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) to support individuals with co-occurring disorders. The LCDC will assess needs, develop recovery plans, and provide individual and group services in a licensed facility.

You will collaborate with others, maintain documentation, and promote Recovery Support Services. This role allows for remote work where feasible and requires certification within three months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social, behavioral, or human services with QMHP-CS eligibility.
• Must hold a Texas LCDC license or be eligible to obtain within 90 days.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Mental Health and Substance Abuse field.
• Maintain a valid Texas driver's license and auto insurance.
• CPR and Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess strengths and needs and develop a person-centered recovery plan.
• Schedule and carry out individual and group services and case management.
• Refer clients to Recovery Support Services as needed.
• Identify gaps in processes and collaborate with other departments for improvement.
• Provide compassionate support and evidence-based care to clients.
