Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner - Liability for multi-state leadership in auto, BI, PD, GL with NY licensing preferred. This remote, full-time role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to work across diverse clients while managing high-exposure claims and settlements.

You will analyze complex liability claims, collaborate with clients, and leverage Sedgwick’s global network to deliver accurate adjudication and subrogation opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Licensing: NY preferred; reciprocal license required.
• Nationwide jurisdiction knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing liability claims to determine benefits due and exposure.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity to claimants and clients.
• Reporting claims to excess carriers and responding to directions professionally and timely.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred

Professional certification as applicable to line of business
