Job summary

Sedgwick, a global leader in risk and claims management, is seeking a Claims Examiner - Liability with multi-state jurisdiction capabilities. The role involves analyzing complex liability claims, negotiating settlements, and coordinating with claimants and clients across multiple states.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of claims management experience, a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred), and NY licensing with reciprocity.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Experience: 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensing: NY preferred; reciprocal license required.
• Jurisdiction Knowledge: Nationwide jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process claims through action plans to determine exposure and resolve.
• Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity with the claimant and client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to directions professionally.
