Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking a Liability Claims Examiner to review, evaluate, and settle property damage claims for commercial motor carriers. The role requires strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills to minimize risk and ensure fair settlements.

You will manage a claims inventory, work with drivers, claimants, and inspectors, and coordinate with supervisors on authority levels while engaging customers both remotely and in person as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in liability claims handling, especially property damage or commercial motor carrier claims.
• Strong negotiation and settlement skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage claim exposures from inception to resolution.
• Oversee claims-processing activities including investigations and settlements.
• Review liability exposure using state law knowledge and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for timely resolutions.
