Job summary

U.S. Xpress is seeking a Liability Claims Examiner to review and settle property damage claims for commercial motor carriers. You will gather facts from drivers and witnesses, assess liability, and negotiate settlements to minimize risk while ensuring fair outcomes.

The role requires strong analytical skills, negotiation ability, and effective communication with internal teams and customers. Remote work options are available, with on-site collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and settle property damage claims to determine exposure for commercial motor carriers.
• Gather facts from drivers, claimants, police reports, and witnesses; analyze data for liability assessments.
• Oversee claims processing: acknowledgements, independent adjuster investigations, coverage review, and settlement negotiations.
