Job summary

LISC is seeking a Lending Communications & Data Intern to support loan impact storytelling and data summaries on a remote, part-time basis. The intern will work closely with senior staff and across teams to learn CDFI underwriting and lending practices.

The role emphasizes strong writing, research, and Excel skills, with opportunities to publish project profiles and format data for submission to the IT team.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree program.
• Minimum two years of coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree for undergraduates.
• Strong writing and editing for external communications experience.
• Fluent in Excel and proficient with MS Office for research and data presentation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills in a remote work environment.
• Interest in real estate, lending, and community development.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with systems reports, data, and underwriting documents to draft impact stories (Project Profiles).
• Collaborate with communications to publish Project Profiles in LISC’s online resource library.
• Update Project Profiles tracker and map as needed.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and marketing opportunities.
• Review credit narratives and underwriting workbooks to collect data points.
• Format all loan data research into a single file for submission to Director of Compliance, Lending.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
