Job summary

LISC, a leading community development organization in the United States, seeks a Lending Communications & Data Intern to support updating loan impact stories and formatting summaries of key credit data. The intern will work across teams, using data and research to tell stories and contribute to lending communications.

The role is part-time (<=20 hours/week), remote, and paid at $20 per hour. Strong writing, Excel, and MS Office experience are required, with enrollment in an eligible degree program and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Superior written and verbal communication skills; ability to organize and synthesize information to tell a story.
• Experience writing/editing for external communications (social media, blogs, impact stories, marketing materials).
• Fully fluent in Excel and experience using MS Suite to conduct research, analyze data, and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with LISC’s reports, data, and underwriting documents to draft impact stories for Project Profiles.
• Coordinate with communications to publish Project Profiles in the online resource library.
• Populate Project Profiles tracker and support updating the related map.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and new marketing opportunities as they arise.
• Review credit narratives and underwriting workbooks to extract predetermined data points.
• Format all data research into a single file and submit to Director of Compliance, Lending for IT submission.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
