Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Legal Operations Manager, Vendor & Spend Management to own spend oversight across Legal, Policy, and Compliance. You will manage e-billing, onboarding, and budget strategies, influencing how millions in annual legal spend are managed with data-driven insights.

You will work with FP&A and legal leadership to optimize processes, ensure compliance, and drive cost efficiency at scale, including system integrations and predictive analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in-house legal practice preferred.
• Deep vendor and law firm spend management experience including e-billing platforms and panel programs.
• Experience managing legal budgets, accruals, and forecasting with FP&A collaboration.
• Ability to design and improve scalable operational processes for vendor onboarding and billing guidelines.
• Experience building reports/dashboards translating spend data for leadership.
• Uses Generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own expense management and annual budget planning for Legal, Policy, and Compliance.
• Build automated accrual models and predictive spend analytics for forecasting.
• Lead end-to-end legal e-billing, onboarding, and guideline enforcement.
• Develop a top-tier law firm panel program and benchmark billing rates.
• Advise leadership on budget strategy, law-firm selection, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with FP&A on invoicing, accruals, and month-end processes.
• Train stakeholders on e-billing systems and optimize workflows and data quality.
• Manage Brightflag integrations with internal ERP/FP&A systems and ensure adoption.
