Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Legal Operations Manager, Vendor & Spend Management to own vendor management and spend optimization for Legal, Policy, and Compliance, enabling efficient operations at scale.

You'll drive the legal e-billing program, onboarding, budget strategy, and analytics, partnering with FP&A and leadership. Emphasis on automation, data-driven forecasting, and responsible AI use to improve workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in-house legal practice.
• Deep vendor and law firm spend management experience with e-billing platforms.
• Forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis in partnership with FP&A.
• Designing scalable operational processes for vendor onboarding and billing guidelines.
• Experience building spend dashboards for legal leadership decisions.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own expense management and annual budget planning for Legal, Policy, and Compliance.
• Develop automated accrual models and predictive spend analytics for forecasting.
• Lead end-to-end legal e-billing program, onboarding, and guideline enforcement.
• Build and manage law firm panel program; benchmark billing rates and AFAs.
• Advise leadership on budget strategy, law firm selection, and cost reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with FP&A on invoicing, accruals, and month-end processes.
• Optimize e-billing system and integrations with ERP/FP&A, improving data quality.
