Job summary

Legal.io is seeking a Legal Admin / Legal Ops contractor to build and run the company’s legal function. This remote US role reports to the first in-house counsel and focuses on process design, CLM setup, and day-to-day legal coordination.

The contract runs for 6 months with a pay rate of $55 - $75 per hour. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, familiarity with commercial contracts, and a proactive mindset to implement systems, templates, and integrations in a fast-moving

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in legal operations or administration.
• Commercial contract familiarity strongly valued.
• CLM implementation experience helpful.
• Carta or equity management experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and onboarding of a CLM tool (Ironclad), configuring templates and approvals.
• Build an agreement repository and track obligations.
• Manage legal inbox and guide sales intake or trigger workflows.
• Oversee DocuSign workflows, redline coordination, and supplier forms.
• Establish repeatable post-signature workflows including insurance follow-ups.
• Coordinate with outside counsel when needed to keep the function moving.
• Create and maintain a Notion hub for legal templates and resources.
