Altus Receivables Management is seeking an experienced Legal Collector to join our Legal Department. The role focuses on delinquent commercial and third-party accounts, coordinating collection efforts related to litigation and working with attorneys and courts to recover balances.

You will negotiate settlements, monitor cases through judgments and post-judgment actions, maintain detailed records, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in a professional, confidential

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of legal collections experience.
• Experience collecting commercial accounts.
• Experience managing third-party collection accounts in a legal setting.
• Working knowledge of litigation processes, judgments, garnishments, liens, and post-judgment collections.
• Familiar with collection laws and regulatory requirements.
• Experience negotiating settlements and payment arrangements.
• Proficiency with collection software and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a portfolio of delinquent commercial and third-party collection accounts.
• Perform skip tracing and investigative research to locate debtors and assets.
• Review account documentation and legal records to determine strategies.
• Communicate with businesses, attorneys, debtors, and representatives regarding obligations.
• Negotiate payment arrangements, settlements, and resolutions within authority.
• Monitor legal accounts through litigation stages including judgments and garnishments.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of all collection efforts and actions.
• Review court filings, judgments, liens, and related documents.
• Meet or exceed established collection and recovery goals.
• Maintain accurate account records in collection systems and databases.
