Job summary

LHH is seeking experienced Legal Assistants and Paralegals for contract opportunities in California. Remote work is available with pay ranging from $30 to $50 per hour. The roles require strong organizational and communication skills, plus experience in legal document preparation and filing.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of legal support experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments within law firms or corporate legal departments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Paralegal, or related role.
• Bachelor Degree required; Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting attorneys in law firms or corporate legal departments.
• Excellent organizational and deadline management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys, legal teams, and stakeholders.
• Draft, revise, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
• Manage calendars, deadlines, court dates, and case/matter files.
• Assist with document management, record organization, and e-filing.
• Coordinate meetings, client communications, and legal team activities.
• Support contract administration, corporate governance, discovery, or litigation as assigned.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with procedures and deadlines.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, clients, and cross-functional teams.
