Job summary

The Freelance Firm is seeking a seasoned California Commercial / Real Estate Litigation Paralegal in Los Angeles. This remote role supports complex matters across commercial and real estate litigation with flexible, approximately 10+ hours per week.

Candidates should have 5+ years of paralegal experience in California litigation, strong drafting and discovery skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases with minimal supervision. Pay starts at $30/hour.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal with California commercial/real estate exposure.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal correspondence.
• Ability to assist with all phases of litigation from inception through trial prep.
• Experience managing discovery, including document review, organization, production, and coordinating responses.
• Experience with commercial and real estate litigation matters, including contract disputes and lease issues.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills, plus excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of litigation from inception through trial preparation.
• Manage discovery including document review, organization, production, and coordinating responses.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and analysis relevant to California civil litigation.
• Coordinate with attorneys to move cases forward efficiently.

California Commercial / Real Estate Litigation Paralegal

Remote work hours will vary, but are expected to be approximately 10+ hours per week.

Paralegal Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal with direct experience in California commercial and/or real estate litigation matters
• Strong understanding of California civil litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirements
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence
• Ability to assist with all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial preparation
• Experience managing discovery, including document review, organization, production, and coordinating responses
• Experience with commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business disputes, and related litigation
• Experience with real estate litigation matters, including lease disputes, title issues, landlord/tenant matters, quiet title actions, and other real property disputes
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple active matters simultaneously
• Strong legal research and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter who can work independently and proactively move cases forward with minimal supervision

Our Paralegal pay rate starts at $30/hour.
