Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support our General Liability practice. The role offers remote work from anywhere the firm has an office, with a preference for candidates in New Jersey or Pennsylvania and strong Pennsylvania court knowledge.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in defense litigation, prior law firm experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Formación

• 5+ years of Legal Assistant experience in defense litigation
• Prior law firm experience strongly preferred
• Experience with litigation procedures, court filings, and docket management
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong time management and ability to prioritize multiple assignments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong proofreading, document formatting, and administrative skills
• Prior experience handling Pennsylvania state and federal court filings
• New Jersey litigation experience is a plus

Responsabilidades

• Provide administrative and litigation support to assigned attorneys
• Prepare, revise, format, and proofread correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Assist with electronic filing of documents with state and federal courts
• Maintain attorney calendars and docket deadlines, including court appearances, depositions, and other case-related dates
• Organize and maintain electronic case files and documents
• Assist with scheduling depositions, meetings, conferences, and other case-related matters
• Prepare and organize materials for depositions, hearings, and trials, including exhibits and trial binders
• Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties as needed
• Monitor deadlines and provide reminders to attorneys as appropriate
• Provide additional administrative support and perform other duties as assigned
