Job summary

Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP. seeks an experienced Legal Assistant to support its General Liability practice group. The role offers remote work from any Weber Gallagher office state with a preference for NJ or PA residents.

The candidate will handle administrative and litigation tasks from inception through trial, and collaborate with a team of attorneys. Requirements include 5+ years of Legal Assistant experience, defense litigation exposure, and strong organization,

Qualifications

5+ years of Legal Assistant experience, preferably in defense litigation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong time management and ability to prioritize multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative and litigation support to assigned attorneys.
Prepare, revise, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence.
Assist with electronic filing in state and federal courts.
Maintain attorney calendars and docket deadlines; coordinate appearances and depositions.
Organize electronic case files and documents; support deposition and trial logistics.
Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
Monitor deadlines and provide reminders to attorneys.
Provide additional administrative support as needed.
