Job summary

Office of Administrative Hearings in Olympia, WA is seeking two non-permanent Legal Assistant 2 (LA2) positions in the Regulatory & Education Division to support the Work Zone Speed Camera caseload. Positions are open to current OAH employees and may last up to twelve months with possible extension.

Telework is eligible; reporting to an OAH facility may be required, with alternate worksite in Washington state.

Qualifications

• Two years in a legal environment supporting attorneys or judges, or equivalent.
• Ability to manage case information, deadlines, and scheduling.
• Familiarity with RCW, WAC and APA guidelines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule hearings and events, ensure timely decisions.
• Process notices, orders, and case documents for ALJs.
• Maintain calendars and assign rooms for hearings.
• Coordinate interpreters, court reporters, and ADA accommodations.
• Prepare case files and ensure timely, accurate records.
