Job summary

Elmington is seeking a Centralized Leasing Consultant to handle high-volume inquiries, applications, and recertifications remotely for our affordable housing portfolio. You will serve as the primary contact during inquiry and application phases, ensuring compliance with LIHTC, HUD/Section 8, and fair housing regulations.

You will collaborate with onsite teams to deliver a seamless leasing experience while maintaining speed, accuracy, and documentation quality in all processing activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in property management or a customer service-oriented call center is preferred.
• Familiarity with LIHTC and/or HUD/Section 8 requirements is strongly preferred; training provided.
• Fair Housing certification within 7 days of employment.
• Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home office workspace required.
• Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
• Ability to manage a high volume of tasks with accuracy and quality.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to prospects, applicants, and residents via phone, email, text, chat.
• Prequalify prospects by collecting timelines, unit preferences, and program eligibility.
• Schedule tours and coordinate with onsite teams for showings.
• Execute workflows to convert prospects to applicants with consistent touchpoints.
• Maintain records and status updates in company systems.
• Assist with applications and required documentation; ensure completeness.
• Verify income, assets, employment, and rental history per program rules.
• Prepare and submit RTA packets when applicable.
• Coordinate move-in scheduling, deposits, and lease documents.
