Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking a Learning Design & Development Analyst for a remote contract assignment with a premier financial services client.

The role focuses on designing engaging training using adult learning theories across multiple modalities. Responsibilities include developing training programs, creating eLearning media with Storyline and Adobe tools, and collaborating with SMEs to ensure impactful learner outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in eLearning, Instructional Design, or a related field and/or eLearning Technical Certifications.
• 4+ years of Instructional Design/eLearning/multi-media/website development.
• Experience with content authoring tools: Articulate Storyline 3, Articulate 360, Adobe, Articulate Studio, Camtasia, SnagIt, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premier Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
• Knowledge of LMS systems and creating compliant content for LMS.
• Knowledge of Web-based Training (WBT) creation and media (audio/video/graphics).
• Instructional design knowledge of adult learning principles, assessment, needs analysis, job task analysis.

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Learning Design & Development Analyst for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients. This role will be remote.

Responsibilities

• Consults and collaborates with other Learning Design and Development Senior Analysts, Learning Advisors, Business Partners, Subject Matter Experts, Trainers, and project teams to design and develop effective and engaging training.
• Has a growth mindset, is adaptable and curious, and applies adult learning theories and Instructional Design methodology to create interactive training solutions using a variety of learning modalities, (mobile learning, web-based training, social learning, adaptive learning, self-directed learning, virtual and in-class facilitation, job aids and other training materials).
• Develops training programs and learning materials using a variety of learning methodologies designed for classroom, self-directed and web-based delivery mediums; integrating adult learning theory and creativity into all design elements for the creation of an interactive and effective learning experience.
• Determines and develops appropriate training solutions for assigned projects, based on the outcome of analyzing business needs, performance goals, and audience.
• Create, deploy, and maintain eLearning media using tools such as Storyline, including: WBTs, Simulations, Scenario and game-based learning, Audio, Video, Websites, and additional media, as needed.
• Participates in the program design process by conducting: needs assessments; task analysis; research of knowledge tasks; working with subject matter experts to validate content; and the creation of supporting design documents including story boards and mock-ups. Development includes: constructing end-user classroom materials, facilitator guides, assessments, and writing supporting documentation
• Creates measurement strategy for client solutions to include the overall assessment approach.
• Designs and develops data collection tools and methods to measure the impact of training.
• Creates, deploys, and maintain eLearning media including: WBTs, Simulations, Scenario and game-based learning, Audio, Video, and additional media, as needed
• Build engaging, impactful user interfaces, prototypes, and graphic design elements for use within websites and eLearning media; provide creative direction on interactivity, imagery and branding
• Review and test internal, vendor created, and other media for use within the organization, and/or deployment via LMS systems
• Researches current industry best practices in learning as well as eLearning and applies in instructional solutions
• May work in an adaptive, self-managed, cross-functional Agile development team where additional duties may arise including, but not limited to:
• Support the intake of new learning request through consulting and needs analysis as well as implementation of final product (including building and influencing key relationships across HR, L&D and the business); measure business outcomes.
• Supporting design and development of training solutions using a variety of learning tools and modalities in partnership with business and learning partners
• Observing and/or facilitating created curricula in both classroom and virtual environments and collaborating with key partners to ensure learner success

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree, or comparable experience in eLearning, Instructional Design, or a related field and/or eLearning Technical Certifications from certified institutions and experience.
• 4 + years of Instructional Design/eLearning/multi-media/website development
• Experience with the following content authoring tools: Articulate Storyline 3, Articulate 360, Adobe, Articulate Studio, Camtasia, SnagIt, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premier Pro, After Effects, and Audition
• Knowledge of LMS systems, and creating compliant content that functions within an LMS
• Knowledge of Web-based Training (WBT) creation, along with creation of media such as audio, video, custom animations/interactions, custom graphics, etc.
• Instructional design - knowledge of adult learning principles, assessment, needs analysis, job task analysis
• Experience providing instructional design across modalities (i.e. face-to-face, hybrid and online courses)
• Visual design - knowledge and experience in how to craft the visual experience that works best with course content
• Experience design - knowledge and experience in creating user interfaces that facilitates the best learning experience
