Versar Global Solutions in Washington, DC seeks a Service Line Leader for Integrated Planning & Permitting to drive growth for U.S. federal clients.

You will set strategic priorities, lead cross-disciplinary teams, and oversee NEPA documentation, master planning, and environmental permitting programs across installations and development sites. You bring 12+ years in federal planning and NEPA, strong leadership, and a proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical, defensible

Qualifications

12+ years in federal planning, NEPA, or permitting leadership.
Experience supporting U.S. federal civilian agencies, military programs, or mission-oriented federal organizations.
Deep knowledge of NEPA and related planning processes.
Understanding planning products: land-use, site planning, development planning.
Experience coordinating permitting across agencies and stakeholders.
Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and portfolios.
Translate regulatory and stakeholder requirements into practical, defensible solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow Versar's Integrated Planning & Permitting service line for U.S. federal customers.
Develop and execute a growth strategy integrating NEPA, installation planning, and environmental permitting.
Serve as senior client and technical advisor aligning mission needs with schedules and budgets.
Oversee delivery of NEPA docs, master plans, and site development analyses.
Guide teams integrating land use, infrastructure, resilience, and environmental compliance.
Provide oversight for permitting strategies with wetlands, species, air/water quality, and other requirements.
Establish governance, quality management, and auditable deliverables.
Advise on alternatives, mitigation, and regulatory risk in all projects.
Build and mentor multidisciplinary teams across offices and partner organizations.
Plan workforce capacity and coordinate resources for demand across programs.
Maintain relationships with federal program executives and regulators.
Champion tech-enabled delivery to improve quality and efficiency.
Lead capture and proposal efforts for strategic federal opportunities.
Monitor market and regulatory developments and adjust service offerings.
Oversee financial performance, backlog, and project health.
