Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to collaborate with AI, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Development to enhance cybersecurity controls protecting federal information systems. Responsibilities include implementing security solutions, leading projects, and guiding engineering teams in security best practices.

Knowledge of NIST controls, cloud security, and CI/CD security is essential. The role requires US citizenship, ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance, and up to 10%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of Security Engineering experience required.
• Experience with US Federal government security requirements.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53/800-171 controls.
• Strong CI/CD security process knowledge.
• Solid understanding of networking and endpoint security.
• Experience with vulnerability management and remediation.
• Experience with AWS/Azure cloud security.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on Information Security solutions across teams.
• Lead or contribute to information security projects and provide technical leadership.
• Implement, configure, and maintain Information Security solutions with best practices.
• Coordinate enterprise project work and align resources.
• Prioritize program elements based on risk and objectives.
• Advise on security controls across cloud, network, and endpoints.
