Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support a defense client remotely. The role requires active TS/SCI with SCI eligibility and up to 20% travel to Washington DC, Northern VA, Boston, and San Antonio.

The team handles cloud strategy, virtualization, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver secure cloud solutions. Ideal candidates possess BS in CS/IT (or 10+ years) and 8+ years’ related experience, with certifications in DoD 8570 IAT-II or Security+.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI or Top Secret with SCI eligibility is required.
• BS in CS/IT or related field; 10+ years may substitute.
• 8+ years of work experience in cloud engineering.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, test, and evaluate cloud systems and integrations.
• Plan and maintain internal cloud virtualization infrastructure.
• Develop cloud solution roadmaps aligned to business goals.
• Design systems using scientific analysis and modeling.
• Analyze cloud requirements against time and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with engineering to support hardware, software, and performance needs.
