Job summary

Fundingo, a Salesforce-native loan servicing platform, is seeking a Lead Salesforce Developer to set technical direction for delivery projects. You will own architecture, guide Apex and Lightning Web Components work, and lead repository and code-quality practices.

You will work hands-on while mentoring other developers, coordinating with Analysts and Project Managers, and engaging with customers to design scalable integrations. This remote role offers leadership without people-management duties.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development with Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components.
• 2+ years leading the technical work of other developers on a project team.
• Experience leading the technical side of customer-facing Salesforce projects from discovery and design through go-live.
• Track record of making and defending architecture decisions on Salesforce projects using established patterns (trigger frameworks, service/selector/domain).
• Strong command of Salesforce DX, source-tracked development, and sandbox strategy.
• Extensive code review experience and a clear stance on code quality, standards, and testing.
• Mastery of governor limits, bulkification, and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication skills with engineers, PMs, executives, clients, and non-technical users.
• Experience mentoring developers and raising team skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Own technical design for delivery projects, including automation and integrations.
• Choose the right tools for each requirement (Apex, Flow, LWC) and know when not to code.
• Balance speed, scalability, and maintainability; communicate tradeoffs to the team.
• Design integrations with external systems like payment processors and accounting software.
• Own the Git-based development workflow, including branching, PR rules, and deployment practices.
• Enforce coding standards, naming conventions, and design patterns across teams.
• Review PRs for correctness, security, performance, and test quality; provide growth-oriented feedback.
• Lead developers across projects by assigning tasks, pairing, and guiding design decisions.
• Collaborate with Implementation Specialists and BAs to break requirements into well-scoped work.
• Lead technical discovery sessions with customers and translate business needs into technical designs.
• Support sales and leadership by joining discussions with clients as the technical expert.
• Plan and oversee data migrations and production issue troubleshooting.
