Job summary

Scopely is seeking a Lead Researcher to design and implement user research programs for a new Mobile/PC game, working remotely in the United States. You will drive the research roadmap, influence product decisions, and mentor a team of researchers.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of gaming UX research, strong mixed-methods expertise, and a track record of impacting product strategy through evidence-based insights. Travel for in-person research at our LA lab is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field; advanced degrees preferred.
• 8+ years of end-to-end UX research experience in gaming.
• Strong mixed-methods expertise with ability to apply appropriate methodologies.
• Proven track record of driving measurable product improvements from research insights.
• Experience supporting product strategy and roadmaps with research.
• Experience managing external research vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end user research programs to inform product strategy across development and live ops.
• Partner with product leadership to align research with roadmap priorities and KPIs.
• Define research strategy and oversee execution, synthesis, and delivery of insights.
• Collaborate with game development, design, UX, product, and data teams to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Design and execute quantitative and qualitative studies with cross-functional teams.
• Translate insights into measurable outcomes and design decisions.
• Manage external researchers or vendors when required and ensure timely, high-quality results.
• Scale research methodologies and best practices across Scopely’s Research & Insights division.
• Mentor and grow other researchers to elevate team impact.
