Telex LLC is seeking a Lead Protection and Control Technician (Remote) to own commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting protective relaying schemes across generation, transmission, and distribution substations. You will lead projects with hands-on expertise and ensure reliability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in relay testing, familiarity with Omicron, Doble, RTS, and Vanguard, and possesses strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualificações

• 5+ years field experience in relay testing and substation commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of three-phase power systems and protection schemes.
• Experience with Omicron, Doble, RTS, Vanguard, and related test equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsabilidades

• Lead commissioning, installation, and maintenance of protective relaying equipment and automation systems.
• Perform advanced end-to-end relay testing using Doble Protection Suite, Omicron Test Universe, and RTS.
• Execute functional and scheme testing including reclosing and breaker failure.
• Troubleshoot and optimize protocols such as DNP3 and Modbus.
• Develop standardized commissioning and testing procedures.
• Mentor junior technicians and oversee field execution for safety and quality.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and engineering teams to deliver reliability.
