Job summary

Canary Technologies Corp. is seeking a full-time remote Lead Physical Access Engineer to drive the Physical Access product, focusing on Mobile Key and lock-vendor integrations, with an emphasis on reliability, security, and low-latency performance for hotel guests.

You will lead a pod of engineers, own the backend architecture for mobile-key issuance, and collaborate with Product Managers to shape the roadmap for the Physical Access surface area, ensuring scalable, high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• 2+ years of proven experience managing successful engineering teams.
• Experience developing backend applications.
• Hands-on experience with hardware/vendor API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a pod of engineers responsible for the Physical Access product and integrations.
• Own the architecture and evolution of mobile-key issuance and lock-vendor integrations.
• Partner with Product Managers to inform the roadmap and prioritize enhancements for the Physical Access surface area.
