Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and development of complex .NET/Azure based web applications. You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality through Scrum QA practices.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding in C# with ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, and SQL Server/Azure SQL, and requires strong collaboration with stakeholders. This is a fully remote position supporting the Health and Human Services domain.

Qualifications

7–10 years of relevant professional experience required.
Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
At least seven (7) years of experience with Microsoft C#, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, Telerik Kendo UI, and SQL Server/Azure SQL.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of complex software applications from business requirements with the team.
Investigate new solutions, tools, products, and techniques to improve coding standards.
Troubleshoot complex issues and propose detailed resolutions.
Support testing and remediate defects in web applications.
Guide, coach, and mentor entry and mid-level developers.
Estimate Level of Effort for PBIs for web applications.
Create and complete PBIs for web apps using .NET, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Azure SQL.
Perform Scrum QA for web applications.
