Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking a seasoned Mainframe Migration Test Architect to lead end-to-end testing for a z/VSE to z/OS migration program in a remote-capable role based in McKinney, Texas.

The ideal candidate will define the testing strategy, govern quality gates, and drive risk-based testing across applications, data, and infrastructure while coordinating federated teams and ensuring successful cutover readiness.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical architecture or test leadership in mainframe environments.
• Experience with large-scale z/VSE to z/OS migrations.
• Ability to design risk-based testing strategies.
• Strong governance and executive reporting skills.
• Experience coordinating federated testing across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and own migration testing strategy and roadmap.
• Establish testing standards and quality gates.
• Lead risk-based testing and impact assessments.
• Develop comprehensive testing plans (SIT, UAT, etc.).
• Coordinate cross-functional testing across MF, apps, infra, security, and DB teams.
• Provide Go/No-Go readiness assessments.
