Qualifications

• Ph.D. in relevant field (Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Early Childhood Development, School or Clinical Psychology)
• 5+ years of professional experience in speech/language, literacy, or related areas
• Clinical experience with standardized assessments and interpretation
• Strong knowledge of test development, measurement, and psychometrics
• Ability to translate scientific evidence into strategic recommendations

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead research plans for new products and portfolio priorities
• Provide scientific and clinical leadership in speech-language pathology and related areas
• Define product scope and design to ensure clinical and scientific rigor
• Lead item development, review, and evaluation
• Collaborate with psychometrics and research teams to review data
• Explore opportunities to apply AI and emerging technologies to research and product development
• Oversee assessment materials and digital interfaces
• Support product commercialization with scientific input
• Represent Pearson through scholarly activities and conferences
• Collaborate with international colleagues approximately 10% of the time
• Travel approximately 10% of time
