Qualifications

• 6–10 years of coding experience in inpatient hospital setting.
• RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CIC/COC/CPA/CCA/CCC/CIRCC/CCVTC or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS coding references.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to oversee coding team operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and primary contact for the Coder II and Coder IIIs; assist the Assistant Director with daily coding team operations.
• Monitor aging accounts to ensure timely coding and billing within 4-day bill hold.
• Review denials and assist in reimbursement improvements.
• Code high‑acuity inpatient accounts and hospital‑based outpatient accounts (Cardiac Cath/Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology).
• Support Revenue Cycle goals for timely and accurate billing.
• Utilize ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS to ensure precise coding.
