Our client is a leading airspace security manufacturer located in Dallas, TX. We specialize in providing drone detection solutions to detect drones in the airspace across all critical industries/vertical markets. Their software platform offers real-time data on drone flight paths, flight history, pilot location, and more to enhance situational awareness and enable effective response to drone threats.
They are seeking a skilled Front End Developer to focus on the design, development, and implementation of front-end aspects of their sophisticated web applications, while understanding backend integrations within their existing frameworks. The person has a passion for crafting exceptional user interfaces and experiences. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to comprehend user requirements, and implement innovative solutions that elevate our digital products. Responsibilities:
- Engage fully in the software development life cycle during all phases including release and sprint planning, testing, demonstrations, and product releases.
- Take the lead on directing and implementing solutions to moderately complex, loosely scoped problems that are aligned with your team's goals.
- Utilize your expertise in frontend development to translate design concepts into functional user interfaces.
- Develop responsive and interactive UI components, leveraging technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Work closely with backend developers to ensure seamless integration of frontend components with backend systems.
- Uphold and advance best practices for high-quality software development.
- Continuously enhance team productivity and collaborative efforts.
- Offer proactive enhancements for the products supported.
- Assist in the development of software engineering standards and contribute to technical documentation.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, tools, and techniques in frontend development and incorporate them into your workflow.
Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Proven 5-7 years of technical experience in software design, development, and implementation, in Front-end Development or similar role, with a robust portfolio showcasing your frontend projects.
- 2+ years of experience leading a team of frontend engineers while collaborating on the project (Hands-on experience)
- Proficiency in frontend development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks/libraries like React.js or Vue.js.
- Experience with XML, JSON, PowerShell, and batch scripting.
- Knowledge of Agile and/or DevOps methodologies, including familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or AdobeXD
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working in agile development environments is advantageous.
