Job summary

BMC Software, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for the Control-M product line. You will embed with key customers, design partners, and R&D to deploy AI-enabled workflows, APIs, and integrations in real environments.

You will guide adoption, gather requirements, and influence product roadmap while delivering scalable, repeatable solutions. Applicants should have strong Python, REST APIs, and scripting skills, with a background in enterprise infrastructure and AI-enabled automation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, solutions or technical consulting with enterprise exposure.
• Strong hands-on Python, REST APIs, JSON/YAML, and scripting.
• Experience building with generative AI and AI workflows is welcome.
• Solid grounding in enterprise infrastructure: AWS, Azure, or GCP; containers/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Embed with strategic Control-M customers and design partners to understand workflows and outcomes.
• Prototype and deliver working AI-enabled solutions quickly, writing integrations and scripts.
• Design and implement agentic and LLM-powered workflows orchestrated by Control-M.
• Measure adoption and impact, translating field feedback into product requirements and templates.
• Enable teams to repeat deployments at scale with reusable playbooks and patterns.
