Samsara is seeking a senior Firmware/Embedded leader to own end-to-end outcomes across device, edge, and cloud. You’ll shape architecture for embedded systems, Go backend services, and web/mobile interfaces while advancing edge AI and safety initiatives.

The role offers a remote-friendly model for candidates in the US and Canada, with opportunities to mentor engineers and influence Samsara’s edge AI strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software design, development, and deployment experience.
• Deep expertise in embedded systems and firmware.
• Shipped across firmware, Go backend services, and web/mobile surfaces.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Go, Python.

Responsibilities

• Own outcomes end-to-end from customer problem to shipped feature across device, edge, and cloud.
• Drive embedded/firmware solutions and establish architectural patterns with lasting impact.
• Leverage AI-enabled agents and edge AI capabilities in Samsara's products.
• Design for device constraints, connectivity, cloud services, and fleet-scale rollout.
• Collaborate across Backend, Web, Mobile, Product, and Customer Success teams.
• Lead teams delivering high-impact products and drive time-to-market.
