Job summary

Qualus seeks a Lead Engineer in Boise for overhead transmission line design, directing civil/structural analyses and project completion. Responsibilities include calculations, drawings, specifications, and contract support for high-voltage lines.

The role requires strong communication and senior technical leadership in a dynamic team. Ideal candidates will have 5–10+ years of experience, a PE license, and expertise in PLS-CADD/PLS-Pole with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited school.
• 5–10+ years overhead transmission line design experience.
• PE license required.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct design and analysis for overhead transmission lines up to 500kV.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and bid packages.
• Coordinate with field crews and project management on project execution.
• Develop budgets and support business development activities.
• Provide technical direction and training as needed.
