Job summary

Southwest Airlines Co. is seeking a Lead Technology Analyst for the Emerging Trends Team.

You will shape how the company explores and tests emerging technologies, leading experiments from concept to closeout in collaboration with business units, tech partners, startups, and stakeholders. You will translate findings into actionable insights for business value, feasibility, and next steps, while improving frameworks and processes to accelerate learning and reduce uncertainty in technology

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of business analysis, process modeling and redesign.
• Advanced knowledge of technical environments.
• Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies.
• Skilled in partnering, communication, and negotiation with Teams/partners.
• Ability to analyze large, complex or vague problems and translate into viable solutions.
• Ability to analyze data and trends and make recommendations.
• Ability to work in a customer-service/team oriented environment.
• Ability to document requirements, processes, and technical specifications.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams.
• Ability to mentor others and communicate ideas to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Technology Team members to provide trusted solutions.
• Identify and compare alternative solutions and seize improvement opportunities.
• Estimate effort and value for solutions.
• Apply and teach business solutions with knowledge of tech platforms.
• Review information and ensure accuracy using dependency checks.
• Follow prioritization processes to drive work and finish tasks.
• Explain ideas and requirements clearly to varied audiences.
• Monitor risks, issues, and scope with proper escalation.
• May perform other duties as directed by Leaders.
